She nodded gently at Elixa as she appeared from a ward door, she was glad she got the owl ahead of time so it didn't just seem like they were showing up and demanding her help, and it was quick that they were ushered away down to a testing lab, it felt somewhat like home, or atleast like Hogwarts, she didn't like to think of it often but she got nostalgia for dungeons with where her house was.
She looked over at Andie now they were in private and she was being asked about it, she shrugged lightly with a sigh. "I've heard talk of someone selling Wolfsbane with Dead Drops, there's been some mixed reports on them, it seems unstable." She said with a faint growling noise while she speaks, she hated the idea of dangerous wolfsbane being on the streets perhaps more then fake.
With her arms crossed she leaned back on a counter with her eyes locked on Elixa working away.

Knockturn Alley / Re: [Aug 24] Wolf and WyvernApril 02, 2022, 03:16:20 PM Tara followed closely after the apparition, it was weird to be with a Metamorphagi, she was just getting used to her new appearance then in the blink of an eye she was back to her usual self, she wondered if it did help with losing weight however, after all if you can alter your body to your will you won't ever have to go out to the gym would you? It must of been a blessing but she wasn't sure now was the right time to ask.
She stretched herself out as they walked through corridors with her, a small smile creeping onto her face. "You reckon Lockhart is still here somewhere? Or did he get released once he seemed adjusted back enough into the magical world?" She asked in an attempt at small talk with the other woman, as much as she liked the brooding silence, she wasn't sure if she could listen to the patients. How Elixa managed to stay sane was anyone's guess. 3
Knockturn Alley / Re: [Aug 24] Wolf and WyvernMarch 16, 2022, 05:22:05 PM "Yeah, I'll come. You think I'm going to let this go?" She asked in a somewhat sterner tone. "Its one thing to sell illegal wolfsbane, if it ends up being fake..." She didn't feel like she needed to say it out loud, but the soft growl in her tone of frustration would of easily aided in her point as her frustration was revealed in her tone, she gently moved up to the other girl and looked down at her with a sigh.
"Ten galleons is perhaps too much for an underground ring, I've heard of one dealer doing dead drops for money and delivery, only a couple at the moment from the sounds, we should try hitting them up sometime." She said a bit quieter as she inspected the bottle herself, it didn't seem that interesting by itself so with a sigh she nodded before stretching out. "Yeah lets go see the doctor." 4
Knockturn Alley / Re: [Aug 24] Wolf and WyvernMarch 04, 2022, 06:53:48 PM Tara was on babysitting duty, it was not as if she had to really babysit Andromeda, but it was needed to be the muscle on this type of job, after all she couldn't just let the other woman go off on her own about this type of job, not just because she was being paid for this either! She enjoyed being around Andromeda enough that she didn't really want her to get into a tricky situation pretending to be a werewolf.
She still felt herself would of been best for this sort of thing, after all, she was an actual werewolf, Andromeda was not, but she supposed she was just the backup muscle and was there to help with the arrest and if there was others who would jump on the Auror if anything was to go wrong at all, it was always good to have backup, although as much confidence as she had in herself, she was pretty sure it would of been better to not have a werewolf backup on this. Tara drank gently at the bar, sighing as she listened to the disguised Auror ask for Buckles Buckley. The only reason Tara was on this mission was that the target they were after was selling fake Wolfsbane. She waited a moment after the two left the building, trying to not look conspicuous and like she's following them, while also checking that Buckles didn't also have his own backup, she kept her distance and did her best to not be seen as she stalked behind them, it was the first day of the blue moon buildup, she didn't take her transformations badly...but this was unnerving to her nonetheless. Soon after making sure things seemed to go smoothly, Tara moved off to the meeting location, she'd chosen a small park with tree coverage that she sat underneath, looking at the sky and the newly expanding moon. "How'd it go? They buy you being a werewolf?" 5
The Sword & Chant / Re: [Mar 6] Drink It Down (Open)February 11, 2022, 09:17:36 AM Tara just shook her head, it wasn't that interesting a story, she was sure the other two had far more interesting ones to tell regardless, taking another sip of her drink as she leaned her chair backwards on its legs, giving her own legs a good stretch at the same time as she did so, a small smirk creeped up on her as she tried to figure out the best way to tell the story, it wouldn't be good anyway.
"It really isn't much, I was part of a team that struck against a dark wix group, they all leaped out as we struck, a firefight ensued between us as we tried to contain the fight to a small building, you know the drill, lots of others working around to cover the area and contain it from muggles." She took another sip. "One of them cast fiendfyre as a screw you to us, I was close by to it when it struck and started to catch over me before we got it under control. Most of it got repaired, but it burned my hair pretty badly, the edges of my hair won't completely heal, and it left several burns on me." She showed off the burns on her hand. "You both must have much better stories anyway." 6
The Sword & Chant / Re: [Mar 6] Drink It Down (Open)January 18, 2022, 02:56:53 PM "I may of met him." She nodded softly to her, before leaning back in her seat, taking her new drink with a smirk as she glanced back around at the other two, trying to gauge the reaction from Elixa, Andromeda at the very least seemed into the idea of punching the soon to be birthday girl, although the fact it was her birthday meant nothing to her, she wasn't going to go easy on her due to it.
"There's quite a few bald Hit-wIx, it sort of comes with the job. I was almost made bald at one point." The idea did bring about a thought...would a bald person still be bald when in their werewolf form? Were there bald werewolves? What would that even look like? It must look like all saggy and scrunched like a bear...must be worse for the male werewolves. She took a soft sip of her new drink. "Never underestimate physical contact in a duel. No one expects it because you know...the ability to create a flaming hurricane with a few swishes." 7
The Sword & Chant / Re: [Mar 6] Drink It Down (Open)January 01, 2022, 08:15:53 AM Tara gave the shadow of a smirk as she glanced back at Elixa, she was probably taking more pride in this then she should be, but if anything, it was the only way for her not to be annoyed or upset at the idea of having to fight recreationally instead of as part of her full job in real situations.
"Well, she's asking for further combat training, and as I'm the, newest." She did air quotes with her fingers. "Hit-witch, also cause they're jealous I'm prettier. I've been assigned to give her some lessons." She finished the last of her drink with a small sip. "So I'm gonna teach her to not just rely on your wand in a fight, what's more unexpected in a magical duel then a punch to the face?" 8
The Sword & Chant / Re: [Mar 6] Drink It Down (Open)December 19, 2021, 06:43:34 PM "I plead the fifth." She replied to Elixa, before glancing at Andie, she wasn't sure if she had taken offence at it or seemed genuine with her own comment before Tara just sighed and leaned down at her drink. Doing her best to let the comment slide about men being optional, she'd admit to it. "Yeah but you need a man, after all, how else will they tell you it was great and fall asleep after five seconds." She gave a soft smirk as she sipped her drink once more.
Hericho rang a bell, she shook her head however at the question. "Nah, she's the child I'm going to punch in a couple of days." She said with a tone of pride. "Also I'm not really invited to any parties except full moon ones, I think its to do with my full of energy attitude." She broke into a somewhat dark, while also girlish giggle at her own joke of her lycanthropy. 9
The Sword & Chant / Re: [Mar 6] Drink It Down (Open)November 01, 2021, 05:52:28 PM It took all of Tara's strength to stop herself from spitting her drink out as Elixa offered the idea of friends with benefits, it was rather unexpected to have it said casually, especially when Andromeda didn't seem to even rebuff it and just offered the simple answer of, but maybe they are? If they were it was something that Andromeda had never discussed with her, seemed a little rude for them to have such a close relation without informing her of them having sex.
"When were you going to inform me of our sex life?" She asked in a more casual tone as she glanced over at Andie, a small smirk playing on her lips, followed by a short shake of her head as she looked down. "I don't think we'd work out. I've not been with a girl but. I prefer dick too much. Unless..." She gave a mischievous grin towards Andromeda to tease her a little bit. She leaned back and resumed sipping her drink softly as she glanced towards the bartender, holding up three fingers and gesturing to them all so they might all get another drink, before returning to the two. "Would you be able to tell me whenever you and Kuester do go at it? I wanna ask for a raise." 10
The Sword & Chant / Re: [Mar 6] Drink It Down (Open)October 16, 2021, 06:07:29 PM "Ministry." She replied bluntly, she didn't have the resources right now to construct her own holding cell or likely the patience when there are others available for use. "I like to go to ones that are less visited however, probably in much worse shape then well kept home ones." She nodded her head to acknowledge Andie, it wouldn't surprise her if the Ministry just kept on with being fine at itself while condemning others for doing more then they did for themselves.
She noticed the dark look that Elixa gave her when talking about the child. "Its a baby auror, don't worry about it, and she asked for a training partner." She looked back towards Andie with a malicious smirk. "If you need me to get some attention for an inspector, I can see about kicking up a fuss in Level Four, I'm planning on going down there somepoint, might aswell shove a boot up someone to make them work for a living." "How do you win the dating game? Got anyone right now, or atleast not going for fools like someone's brother?" She asked with a side eye to the Healer. 11
The Sword & Chant / Re: [Mar 6] Drink It Down (Open)August 29, 2021, 12:02:52 PM Tara nodded along, she wasn't entirely sure how to help the other woman with her problems, she'd never had siblings to defend really, but she could understand the sentiment regardless, even if it didn't match traditional gender roles as Andromeda was describing, although that meant very little all around to herself anyway in the end.
"If it was you as a brother, it could look like you're simply picking on your siblings...questionable choice in partners." She shrugged as she sipped at her firewhiskey, putting the glass down she leaned back in the seat. "And no, you're nowhere near as doom and gloom as me, for a start I don't think you're excited about the opportunity to punch a child in a couple of days, so that's probably saying something, and you've probably got a better dating game going on." She shrugged gently. it wasn't as if she was really looking forwards to punching children, just more as a chance to make fun of a baby auror. Sure she was with an Auror now but that was because Andromeda didn't seem as up themselves as most others about their position, or atleast so far, things were liable to change in the future. "What's going on with me? Apparently not much as I'm reliable for drinking on a tuesday." She said with a faint joking smirk. "Otherwise not too much, settling into work here, apparently Hit-Wix are underused for you lot. Oh and in a couple of days I'm going to be a giant mess of fur that will try killing anyone nearby." She took another sip of her drink. "And likely I'll succeed if there's a single rusty nail, don't worry I've got a safehouse planned in the middle of nowhere." 12
The Demon's Head / Re: [February 14th] My Bloody Valentine (Kurby)May 29, 2021, 10:07:37 AM "Firstly, Aurors aren't my mates, they tend to be assholes, full of themselves and pompous. Then claim the credit for everything a Hit-Wix does." She said with a slight stern edge to her voice, Aurors very much, were a sore spot for her. She had known some truly terrible ones, and the trainees? Often even worse if you let them, the fact she had to take orders from them was added salt to the wound.
"Second, I think I've heard of him, I've not officially started here yet, but I've been doing some research." She tapped her foot on a floorboard and smirked, she wasn't sure if it was from the original owner, or some teenager who thought themselves clever to come here to drink underage but it seemed someone had left a bottle to be used for later. Drawing her wand she raised a foot, then slammed it down hard on the loose board, breaking it in half and only just avoiding the bottle, quickly scooping it back up she waved her wand to repair the board so it was like they were never there at all. "Found some rum, someone left a bottle of Kraken." She said proudly as she put her free, non alcohol wielding hand on the bar, then hopped over in one move and headed her way over to him. "Unopened, not very dusty, seems this place is popular for kids who fancy themselves a little rebel making." She'd need to remember to toss a coin or two in there, not that it was her place to encourage such behaviour but it wasn't like this was cheap either. Probably an entire paper round for this. "So, what you want to drink to?" She asked as she sat herself ontop of a table, her entire attitude and way of moving practically begging for any traps around to take her. 13
Level Two: Magical Law Enforcement / [March 8th] Sparring A Glance (Snapshot)March 16, 2021, 09:22:02 PM Swing to the right, clumsy, slow, easily dodged. Next came a straight kick, it was done thoughtlessly, they weren't even thinking about what they were doing, just attempting to land any type of hit, desperation was always a good motivation but it would not work here, it was sloppy. A simple step back led to avoiding the kick, leaving them unbalanced, open for attack, swiftly, a spin on the tip of the left foot, right foot retracted, as the spin neared completion the leg kicked out. Collision, side of the head, the spin was unneeded but lent momentum, punishment for the mistake of unbalance. They flew to the ground in a pile.
"Auror standards truly dropped." Tara sighed as she looked upon the heaped form of the girl infront of her, nothing professional about her, tattoo of a chain around their neck, a blue butterfly flying around. Not to mention the tongue and ear piercings. Then the grey hair and eyes, were they trying to stand out? If anything it made the girl more bland that she went by the name of her hair colour. "Get up, we go again." She wasn't in the mood to explain the mistakes to her, this was the fourth match today, if anything she'd gotten worse as time went on. The girl grunted and rubbed at their newly bruised cheek. "No." The girl said, she sounded personally wounded. "How about magic this time?" She asked. Tara didn't respond directly, instead she pulled her wand and swirled it, changing the room from the plain sparring ring they were in to a small outdoor area, grass at their feet a few trees around. More like a public park then anything. It would do, see how the girl manages. Though based on her previous record she doubted this would last long. And she was right, the first round went quickly, so did the second. Tara striking her down quickly before she managed to take cover. She wasn't going to play it easy for the girl, she was meant the Auror here, not the lowly Hit-Witch. "You're not in the state of mind to go again." Tara said bluntly to the girl. Who in reply just spat onto the ground as she recovered. "One last time." This time she had a smirk on her, overconfident. She was going to go down harder this time. Tara merely nodded and took a few steps back. As soon as the signal to start went, Tara swept her wand up, with a short arcing motion created by flicking her wrist she muttered her incantation. "Elecar Thundus." A stream of electricity flew from her wand, striking the girl who fell to the ground screaming in pain as the lightning wracked her body and caused her to spasm. Was it fair to use this? No, she just didn't want to let the girls hopes get up. Still she hadn't yielded however, Tara walked closer to push her over with her foot as the spell stopped. "Give up." She commanded, then with a crack the girl disappeared, almost immediately she felt the wand fly from her hand as she had apparated behind her. It was a decent play, she'd admit it, but foolish. "How about you?" She panted as she glared daggers into Tara. Turning slowly Tara just stared back, the girl was approaching, ruining her advantage of distance. Tara waved her hand at the ground and muttered under her breath, causing the ground to rebel and shoot up beneath the girl, hitting her in the face and sending her sprawling onto her ass again. "Remember that wandless magic exists. We're done for the day." Tara said bluntly as she walked to her wand, retrieving it in one fell swoop, then walked to the door. The Aurors really were doomed if she was a year in. 14
Muggle Locations / Re: [Feb 24th] The Fog, the Dust, and the Pain (Tara)March 13, 2021, 01:48:10 PM He didn't seem happy, that was understandable, Aurors hated not being immediate with ideas and plans, it hurt their ego. Her plan however should probably help with that and his publicity, he can be the shining Auror who captures them all. She'd just be in the background of the news story if mentioned at all at how she assisted and he got the brunt of the work.
How it always went really. Always make heroes of the generals not the troops. "Right, you go around the front and hex the brooms, make them so that they cannot fly off on them, set up a ward to stop them from apparating away. It does mean we'd need to take out more, but if they're fleeing immediately they likely can't fight that well or, aren't the usual criminal type." She pointed at the windows slowly. "I'll sneak around the back, hexing any windows so they can't get out with those. You take position behind cover with good sight on the front door. I take the back of the cottage, if there's a door I burst that, if not...I create one." She quickly drew the cottage on the ground with her wand, prodding at the soil to mark out the building. "Any who would flee, would be forced out the front, you can incapacitate them as they try to escape. Any others who fight would be engaging me, you can come in once those fleeing are down to take them from the other side." She looked up at him again after she had drawn her little plan on the soil. "Some may still escape if they get outside but we should get most if it works out. Do you know many good noise reduction charms for yourself?" She asked with a small, almost sadistic smile. 15
The Demon's Head / Re: [February 14th] My Bloody Valentine (Kurby)March 11, 2021, 11:06:05 AM "I could arrest you, you know that right?" She jokingly said, she couldn't yet really, she wasn't on duty for a start, or could be bothered, nor had she started working here yet. She looked over the tape, as long as there wasn't anything stolen she couldn't care about urban explorers going into buildings, let kids have their fun in supposedly haunted mansions, she knew she'd snuck into the Shrieking Shack when she was younger, partly as a dare and partly because she could get a snog without anyone seeing her and her boyfriend of the time.
The place seemed properly abandoned, she walked on inside as she took in the sights of it. She hadn't the faintest idea of what the place was or its history. But it seemed like it had been abandoned for a good while so she wasn't sure why he wanted to come here to drink, was there really going to be any alcohol at all even? She doubted it, Kurby must of suffered a blow to the head at some point. "Look at how busy it is, and so much booze to drink. Truly amazing place. Or you got a stash here?" She glanced towards Kurby, half making sure he wasn't getting ready to just ambush her here in an attempt to tell her to bugger off. After all he wasn't being the most cheerful, she wondered what type of pole was up there, must be terribly abrasive for him that's why he has such a mood. She glanced over the bar as she moved herself behind it to look over for anything that was remotely drinkable and wasn't poisoned at all. Given the age of the place and people had obviously come in, anything liquid here was likely not something you wanted to drink...unless you were into that sort of thing. "Any history you can tell me of this place? I don't remember it at all." |
