Absit Omen RPG

Allura smirked at the other woman as she got defensive of the werewolf, she gave a gentle giggle as she took Maireads arm, she didn't want to ruin the night exactly but she certainly didn't want her to get off with being the one to start going after the Gryffindor, she knew of the girls reputation after all but they weren't allowing her to get picked on if she chose to join them.

"Sure the attention junkie girl ran away for no real reason." She smirked as attempted to take her in, glancing towards at Mairead with a knowing smile. "What drink do you want babe?" She asked with a small wink at the former student so that she could try to irritate the Ravenclaw student further for being a pain in her rear at this event, she got her and Noriko were friends, but why was never going to be answered likely.

She looked over at the amused boys at the edge and waved a finger to call them over. "Tim, wanna come with?" She then looked over at her fellow Slythie girl and nodded at her. "Noriko? Lets go party shall we?"

She had been trying to keep the peace, but Mairead was being...well...Mairead, and that wasn't helped when Eirene had to be so Eirene and...Did she know the changing hair colour girl? She seemed familiar but with the changing hair it was hard to tell if she recognized the girl, and soon the whole thing just started to devolve, she needed to keep the peace between them, as much as she wanted to have a good time with her friend and...the others who were showing up that she didn't entirely know everyone. She was willing to make sacrifices.

Although she wasn't up for starting drama, a shocker to most, especially a certain Pepper with Z in her name, this time she wasn't going to let Mairead go undefended, she shot a glance over at Eirene.

"Didn't your werewolf friend run off also? Hogwarts obviously isn't the best." She said with a twinge of Durmstrang pride despite never being there, but that didn't matter, it was the better school regardless. "And besides, we're all girls, we all know how horrible girls are, I don't blame anyone for not wanting to come back to Hogwarts and living with other girls who cause drama all the time. Its fairly toxic when you think about it."

The last part was purely for the benefit for Mairead, and she hoped it worked as a way to defuse the situation as she looked back at the former Gryffindor, a soft smile on her face as she gently gripped her shoulder as if to invite her in.

Allura looked over the others here, she rolled her eyes at Frank being here, although at the very least he seemed to have finally grown a little, or she just hadn't seen him for awhile which was also true, while the others were just...seeing them outside of school was weird, honestly seeing people outside of school was odd, like seeing a teacher in normal clothing at the local store, there was something wrong about people having lives outside of school.

Eirene had made it however as the others had been asking, she gave a soft smile at her, she stayed silent but looked between her and Frank, he seemed to have jumped to see her, which was certainly interesting but she didn't really care, that was school stuff and she just wanted to relax.

It was interrupted quickly however by word of one person approaching, her eyes rolled as she heard the reactions from the others, the idea she had gone to America was funny, she didn't think that would work too well for her.

She removed herself and moved back from Noriko as she stretched her arms. "I'll speak to her." She sighed.

Gently she turned and approached the Gryffindor...or ex Gryffindor student anyway, a soft and flirtatious smile on her, remembering how it seemed to make her act during their study period together in Herbology.

"Hey there girl, what are you up to?"

Allura had been happily preparing for the evening, the idea of a night out with her friend and several other students was a great idea, especially as she'd found she didn't actually have that many friends, not that she thought she had many, even then she didn't think most were with her due to her, just her Veela charm, but even then, that should leave more then like...one person right?

She'd been excited for the night regardless, her mothers weren't too fussed with her being out, one of them were likely to appear and poke in just to check on her, or ask the bar itself, she didn't like the snooping in on her but she was happy they weren't intrusive on it given it all. It could be worse and a helicopter parent who insists on coming to the party, that would be horrendous.

Quietly she snuck up on the two people she knew, the little blond haired boy Frank, and her friend Noriko.

Suddenly pouncing she wrapped her arms around the front of Noriko as she hugged her from behind, giggling happily at seeing her finally after so long, her eyes closed at first as she gave a fake roar noise.

"Hey Noriko! Hello Frank! How are you two?" She asked gently, she was pretty sure the boy was underage, not that the club would really care and to be honest he looked like he could pass for fifteen, Allura didn't have a problem with it, she was almost sixteen, let alone passing for fifteen. She wouldn't be against vouching for Frank anyway, in the cruel part of her mind she found it amusing to see how he'd react to ladies night at the club.

She pulled away from Noriko and softly twirled on her foot. "How's my dress?" She asked, planting both blue high heeled shoes onto the floor, her legs in tights, while wearing a blue satin dress that went from her shoulders to her knees, to match with her blue eyeliner and lipstick. She knew it was far too much for a casual night out, but how often did a group of students get to go on a night out?

Allura giggled, the girls reaction was accurate atleast, sure trusting other girls wasn't the smartest thing, but she'd still trust girls over guys. Guys just wanted her for her appearance and her charm, not for herself really, and so atleast girls she could trust that if they did really like her, it wasn't the charm most likely. Unless they were into girls themselves...

She delicately repotted the mandrake, yanking the disgusting plant from its previous pot before depositing it and filling with fresh soil, starting with its mouth to shut it up sooner, she found the plants too freakish, they were somewhat sentient from what she understood and yet they were raised like cattle and killed for potions, not to mention how gross they were in the first place.

She made sure that there weren't further mandrakes screaming about the place as she slipped off an earmuff to speak again, while continuing to fill the pot, ensuring the mouth area remains full to avoid any screams escaping and paralyzing herself.

"I'm guessing you don't trust girls at all? Any reason for that babe?" She asked straight faced as she ensured she was safe while working. This was the hardest task it seemed on the list so once these root monster babies were finished, they can start to relax, that was very promising for her. "Or perhaps you just find it so much easier to control boys, I get that, I can wrap most men around my finger to do my bidding, girls are far more fun in that regard."

She gently brushed back some of her hair before side eyeing Mairead once more. "I can teach you some ways to get a girl to do as you wish, if you desire to do so." She winked at her.

"We should do well then, if we do the Mandrakes now, then we do a little bit of some easier stuff, we can claim that we were so worn out by doing the Mandrakes at the start and get away with having done less work then others may do. We still get most of it done we can't get in trouble or have grades dropped, and we get to relax for the rest of the lesson, sound good right?" She said softly and matter of fact-ly, she'd pulled this before with others, but she got away with batting her eyes and she was off scot-free.

Besides if Mairead was up for just lazing about the entire time anyway, it made sense they should pull it off together, however she wasn't sure if it would be as believable since she was involved considering the Gryffindors record, she might have to pull out more acting then usual to get the two away with minimum effort for a change, which almost seemed to defeat the point.

Gently she looked over the pots, securing her ear muffs properly she shrugged before slipping an ear out so they could talk together, giving a smirk at the question of the boys fawning over herself.

"Oh it does get boring, I'd never trust a man further then I can throw them." She said with a soft tone, before adding on with a wink. "Girls however, are another story." She softly gave the other girl a look up and down as she put the ear muffs securely on yet again.

She was right with the name atleast, the fact she was asking if she knew much about Herbology and kept notes meant she knew little about Allura herself, which could both be good and bad in this situation.

"Well, I know some, I get rather good grades, although I don't take many notes. Mostly boys will just throw themselves at me to help me with work." She said casually as she shrugged her shoulders, giving a soft giggle with her. "Although that happens with most classes really, the boys will always be willing to let me use their notes, or help with assignments, they're very eager."

"What about you? Keep up also? Or prefer to sit it all out?" She side eyed the girl as she started off towards the mandrakes, they might aswell get rid of the hardest stuff first, and if they want to slack off, it meant they got something hard finished and could say they were just resting it off afterwards, recouperating after the mandrakes and ensuring neither were going to be ill or did anything wrong.

She dropped her hand into her bag as she walked, rummaging for her pair of ear muffs now to be safe, not wanting to be caught off guard and get blasted as they approach or get inside in the first place, she didn't think fainting suited her ultimately.

Allura checked her book slowly, she wasn't looking forwards to the project she was put into. Teamed up with a Gryffindor, worse it was meant to be one of the troublemaking ones, she wasn't happy about it at all really, she felt the professor might have something against her given the situation really, it was ridiculous, at the very least it was to tend to plants around the gardens and nothing that too dangerous.

She closed her book and looked up at the other girl. Mairead was her name, great, the girl only had one thing going for her so far. Slowly she put it away and started to walk up to her with a groan, why couldn't they just do it all independently, why was it all forced to be a group project, did they really want that much interhouse mingling...were the teachers taking bets on who would hook up with who in the years and as such were trying to force them up together?

The weather wasn't bad so they had that on their side for when they worked, lots of plants to tend to and alot of moving about, from some mandrakes in one greenhouse, to just simple cosmos flowers being grown, if anything it felt like they were just trying to get free labour of the students but Allura would keep that to herself for now, especially around the professor as she didn't want to have the house lose points or put on her charm at him, not that she could control it.

"Right then, lets start with the dangerous plants I guess right?" She said bluntly as she didn't put on her usual charms, it was another girl, it wouldn't work and she'd know that she was lying about it all, especially someone used to trouble and lying like her, or so she assumed. Although it might be fun regardless to work with someone like this, and if they somehow got along, she could be useful.

"Have we ever actually talked in class before? I'm Allura." She said as she shrugged, looking the girl up and down again, sighing as she did so. "Mairead right?"

Allura couldn't help herself but to smirk at the comment made by the girl, or the way she was acting, it wasn't a malicious smirk just more...bemused. The girl seemed a fairly typical Ravenclaw to her really and that was about it to her understanding.

"Petting every creature can teach you some valuable lessons. so perhaps Ravenclaw is the perfect class." She'd seen several beast tamers with multiple missing limbs, if anything they learned very valuable lessons and that was the true Ravenclaw curiosity and studying. She herself was fairly confident that she was in the right house, if there was an opposite to a hatstall then Allura was that, she didn't even think it touched her head before declaring Slytherin.

She followed along to the other creatures...Puffskeins!

"Did you hear there is meant to be a family in one of the bathrooms?" She asked softly as she  looked over the fluffy balls.

"Oh and sure, if you give me your timetable I can likely meet you after your lessons and take you to the next room. I know shortcuts." She didn't think professors would mind thaaat much...Maybe Storm.

Allura relaxed a little at how relaxed Meri was being, that was good, she could let down her guard, she was going to explain that she was more just lost then anything, having just rambled through the grounds as a morning route, although Meri seemed happy to be tending to the creatures currently, so that was good, and of course the creatures were adorable, the class was enjoyable, the creatures were...usually nice also. She still didn’t understand how the books were allowed at all.

Before she managed to say anything however another figure emerged, she thinks she recognized her, shouting at the protest the other day as she watched. Waiting for Grimwold to get his act together, she gave a nod over as she moved more to Meri’s side, partly to back her up and to get closer to the creature.

“Allura.” She said plainly, she didn’t need to put on an act currently, she wasn’t in a bad enough mood for it, and it was early, that was alot of effort to make herself something else currently, besides its not as if she didn’t get helped by her charm constantly anyway.

“Aren’t you in my year?” She asked softly, she couldn’t quite remember, there were alot of students in her class, and most kept their faces in books or...were weird.

She yawned as she walked down to the birds, muggles called them the Dodo she believed, believed them to be extinct. All the better for them, they wouldn't notice alot of things that are right in front of them, they were extremely gullible. Their own 'magicians' just being cheap tricks, she'd learned some of them, she was fond of it, but they really were dumb people. Easily fooled, although some of the stuff they'd managed was interesting, giant metal birds that flew about the place, she still didn't trust them however, she didn't fancy a world without mood changing lipstick or something as simple as the Floo Network.

Allura was hoping to get some fresh air before going to Hogsmeade later, she wasn't sure if to invite Grimwold again or go by herself, she knew her mom was likely to be about Hogsmeade so perhaps it was best to go by herself. Her mom was...alot. If he was so smitten by her, he wouldn't last a minute with her mom, a Veela working as a fashion model was an extremely dangerous combination to have around.

She froze as she felt a twig snap beneath her and some further noises as if in response, then she came through the bush into the clearing.

"Oh, Meri. What are you doing here?" She asked gently, she wasn't prepared to meet people and wasn't sure what act to put on, if any at all.

Allura was bored of the protest by this point, she wasn't that fond of going to it in the first place, however now they were acting as if they were starting a revolution and getting into the excitement of overthrowing the monarchy. All they were was some dumb sweets, would they have cared if they were Yeti Pops? It was just a picture of a werewolf on the packet and the name. Not as if the product itself was bad.

She sighed as she leaned onto Grimwold, having tried to make several attempts of showing she was bored and wanted to go without actually saying anything, he should know she is bored, it was by her fifth sigh of boredom and resting onto his shoulder that smoke started to leave the shop and people ran out with a foul stench. Finally it was interesting but she couldn't see much from here and he just kept shouting along with them.

But she even lost Grimwold now, he told her he'd be back and ran into the store. He better not come out stinking or the rest of the day will be unpleasant.

She was bored, and someone had left words in the air, screaming along some line or another as Zeta argued, quietly she mumbled a spell with a small movement of her wand, far enough away from the others to not be noticed. She created her own sky writing above the previous.

Pull the pops or Lucinda will Bite! A small full moon drawn under it.

With a pleasant smirk she pocketed her wand and moved a little to be a bit safer, maybe she should do makeup while waiting to help feign the innocent look...

Another professor, excellent, yay, woohoo, most likely it would be another disappointment like several of the other teachers. Its not to say any are bad...well that's a lie, the school doesn't have the best reputation for competent teachers does it really? The fact that she was late reeked of arrogance to her, just what the school needed. This wouldn't be a problem in Durmstrang, if only she was sent to a proper school, this felt more like an explosion, always busy, always noisy, always messy. The fact that someone turned themselves into a newt in todays Transfiguration lesson, that wasn't even about that, just further illustrated her point.

While alot of her house were laughing she just rolled her eyes and sighed, yet another subject the books will do a better job of teaching then the professor. Of course the Ravenclaws will love that won't they, the Gryffindors won't care and the Hufflepuffs will probably be all over the idea of saving her cats or something.

What made it worse was one of her prefects was getting all excited, shoving aside plates, standing up and calling that its someone apparently important and legitimate. All their professors were, if anything its what it sadder. But she was excited nonetheless.

"Meredith, sweetie, don't get your knickers in a twist, sit down. Please." She sighed with a little tug at the girls shirt, as she tried to make sure that other houses didn't look onto them with prying eyes.

"Hhm, I suppose so, be fun to see how it goes." She said in a fake ditzy tone, as if she hasn't really thought of it at all. As if the thought never entered her mind at all, although of course it had, she just wanted to annoy Zeta, she had started a war with her, she couldn't care less about the dumb little protest really, what was it even about? Stupid pranks from Zonkos? That's all Zonkos was, dumb pranks, who cares? There were better things to angry other then for others who as far as she had heard, weren't even caring about it.


What type of comment was that? What is he even trying to imply with a comment like that? Just simple dating sort of thing, or is he trying to imply something further about her later on? She wasn't going to do something like that, why would she? She did her best to hide any sort of disgust at the comment and looked away. Waiting for him to leave as he walked off, he likely meant it to be innocent but just...ew. Even if it was meant to imply his company, she doubted she could get much, he'd just be tripping head over heels at her for no reason other then boys are predictable and easily fall to any girl, let alone one with a permanent charm.

"We could do both though." She said to Grimwold, putting on her fake sappy lovey dovey appearance as she went to hug into him. Like a girl melting over meeting their favourite boy band star. "We can go for a bit to the little club event then off to get some drinks?" She asked as she slid a hand behind her back to raise two fingers back to Zeta again.

It had been, an awkward thing for Allura, she would admit that openly. She hadn't planned to go to the Hogsmeade weekend with anyone originally, but then Zeta decided to start a little war wit her, something that she wouldn't stand for, why should she let Zeta walk all over her like that? She shouldn't, the little stuck up do gooder, thinking she knows everything and knows best. She didn't of course, no one did.

But one thing led to another, leading to Allura asking a boy out, well, not...out out...it was more a friendly thing. She wouldn't ask a boy out anyway for that sort of thing, she can't trust them typically, her Veela charm sort of ruined any chance for anything real. That isn't to say she'd ask a girl out for this sort of thing either! She could somewhat trust girls but...she liked girls and all...she liked boys but... That isn't what she meant!

She only asked him out to annoy Zeta! BUT NOT LIKE THAT! IT WASN'T OUT OUT! JUST OUT!

Now both her and Grimwold were going to the protest, he wanted to go there and she obliged, feeling bad at using him in the first place. She didn't know what to do for this sort of thing, she wanted him to enjoy the time, so she went along with it.

Upon drawing closer to the crowd, and upon seeing Zeta. Allura went from awkwardly looking down at her feet as they moved, to wrapping herself around him adoringly, doing her best sickingly sweet impersonation, arms wrapped tightly around his and his back and head rested upon him best she can.

"Here we are." She said in a sweet tone with a serpentine smile.
