Title: [March 4] Robbing Fort Knox for Pocket Change Is Easier

Sometimes on events so current, so groundbreaking, so unexpected, in the aftermath the trace of public chaos can be traced back to one source, one circumstance.

And even with that retroactive knowledge of the future information shufflers, still nobody would know why this particular plan was ever considered a good idea.

The transpiration of the events started with one scruffy looking former Red Rocks alumni and Knockturnite slummer immigrant Chip Reynolds entering St. Mungo's. Chip was something of a known piece of riffraff, having incurred clinical help for one or two overdoses of incorrectly measured potion ingredients (at least that was the excuse) and transfiguration mishaps, who paid off his debts as a broomstick shop clerk.

Unlike his last visit to St. Mungo's due to bites from a transfigured tea kettle (given that the tea kettle was previously a jet-lagged Tasmanian devil this was inevitable) Chip actually had the creature that had injured him on hand in a cage.

If they gave chocolate frog cards for being the only known wizard to have both eyebrows, earlobes, nose, three knuckles and other nubby bits of skin bitten off by a flying squirrel, Chip was the man to have survived that feat.

He was also proclaiming that he wasn't trying transfigurations while drunk again as he fouled the waiting room with the sour stench of firewhiskey and energy drink dregs.

Said flying squirrel was busy running circles around the inside of the cage but although the movements were frantic there were cool collected thoughts busy collecting in the mind of the occupant. Semi-calmer than usual thoughts at any rate. After several nights of hanging out with Chip the grade-A slacker and learning of his past mishaps, Dotty decided to step up her typical game of larceny. Because rather than using her animagus form to sneak into places unannounced being the attacking creature of a creature induced injury eschewed the upper echelons of subtlety entirely.
