This series of notes were passed throughout the day on April the 13th during classes and in quiet study sessions.
Jotted on the corners of parchments and their own separate scraps of paper, this is the account of two friends sharing gossip from the previous evening.
Alright, so, first of all – you need to tell me everything that you know from the evening.
Either what you saw -- or what you heard -- I know you hear all the gossip before I do, so don't pretend no one's talked about it at all.
THEN I'll tell you what happened.
Neely's notes are written in a iridescent blue-gray ink. A small bit of pale pink feather from her current favorite quill is caught on the scrap of parchment.
FIRST OF ALL, everything I know about that evening is totally VODKA COLORED. Even if vodka is clear, and my mind is generally sharp (genius-sharp), I couldn't see through Julian's face, Jord.
I definitely heard the loo version, the breakfast table version, and the nerdy-third-year-corner-of-the-common-room version (the ugly armchair corner, you know). They claimed Xavier proposed to you, but I know that's rubbish. However, the loo version about a really expensive necklace sounded just outrageous enough. And it's not like your neck isn't worth it. I cannot believe you haven't shown me yet. I haven't even seen the lovebites he left all over your neck (and lower?!), let alone the necklace, you tease. I thought we were BWF.
