Knox's Werewolf Night

Please Click Here for the link to the Wiki Chapter, the Werewolf Attacks!

(I have never before been interested in a special ability or creature classification.  Knox is one of my oldest characters.  What, frankly, am I thinking?)

I'd like it if Knox could be attacked by a werewolf and become infected himself.  This would require a couple of different scenes that I'd love to have other writers involved.  I could just post the app and say it happened, but I'd rather explore this process.

1. The Attack.  We could NPC a werewolf, or someone might be interested in playing a Secondary for a bit.  Also, Vane Hendric could come along and rescue Knox.  Also, Knox could be strolling with a friend or former students.  It could be all sorts of violent and dramatic.

2. The Treatment. Oh noes, will he live? Or perhaps less dramatic: "No no, it's just a scratch - fell into the brambles. Not teeth marks. Can't be."  "We think you should lie down.  Aaaand.... drink... this... K?"

3. Okay, so now what do you do when a werewolf is sitting on the Wizengamot? Who's the grouchy old bear who now has to account for himself to the werewolf office once a month and fill out his worksheet and be in the papers.  Oh, there will be angst. And political drama.  How will this affect the current conflicts with Analiza Snark's expulsion of Olivia? What about Darcy's trial?

Thoughts?

Ooo - are there any WBA members with werewolf connections or any werewolves out there that'd be interested in being bribed, conned, tricked, their wolfsbane tainted, or otherwise used against or with their will to perform the attack?  Another attack on a Ministry official would tickle Cin pink.  He'd be happy to assign someone to it, f some other WBA members want to get some action - and don't mind getting their hands dirty.  If not, Cin could orchestrate it - but it'd be fun if he started doing more delegation of others.  Especially if they could have a connection to the werewolf in question.

Just a thought to throw out there.

Analiza would find it highly entertaining. ^^

Devlin wouldn't know how to feel.

Ooh. That's a REALLY good idea, Sarah! Since Ana was all 'NO!' to werewolves and the old headmaster is all 'But I am one! LOLOL!'

Even though, when I really think about it, SL could always throw in Simon Reid or Ollie Foley (Though I don't really think she'd do it) or... I don't really know of any other werewolves... Anyways, I'm willing to try making a werewolf (again). Though I was thinking of making that Harpies girl real soon as a secondary...

I don't know. I'm just saying that I'm willing to help. :]

Yeah, this is an awesome idea ;D. If you want Knox to have company during the attack, I've got Fauna or Maggie to fit the bill as former students. Though Fauna would probably be more likely to get together with Knox and catch up with him.

Haha or Aileen, if she and Knox want to meet sometime and complain about Snark. A werewolf attack would add some extra drama to her interactions with Simon.

Um... I don't wanna hog all the plottage, so I'm just offering in case there are no other volunteers. I think it would be fun, but I definitely don't have to have one of my characters involved :).

If infected, Knox will probably interact with Tabitha anyway, but she could also be with him at the time of the attack.  Which would also be interesting if he chooses to not register himself if that's even an option.

Also, from the WBA Eudora could probably get involved.  I don't have any werewolf connections with her, but she wouldn't mind extorting one to get what they want. XD

I would be very much open to a Wizarding Blood Alliance connection,  Cináed!  Even if we just end up NPCing the werewolf, we can credit the attack to the WBA when/if you choose to reveal it.  It would be up to you why you might make Knox a target.  On the other hand, the WBA could have loosed a werewolf for general savagry and Knox was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I'm going to situate this at the very end of September, or early October.

I'd like to begin writing soon.   ;D  So let's get some plans solidified.  I'm going to go find Vane to make sure I don't die at the end of the thread.

Mind if Covi pops in at least around the treatment stage?

Woo!

Awesome!  Knox being on the Wizengemot would be reason enough for  Cináed.  We can work on developing a solid reason but causing more mayhem in the Ministry is enough reason.  Cin would have been not fond with recent endeavors in the werewolf area (the library, increased tolerance, etc) - he might do it just to help instill more doubt and distrust of werewolves as well.  And, whether it'd be publicly connected to the WBA will depend on the date of it.  My plan is for the WBA insignia to be connected to Gawain's assassination so, if this takes place after the 1st of October, chances are good the WBA's crest would be public knowledge.

And, woo!  I figure  Cináed could have either recruited Eudora for the whole endeavor or, since she's new to the group, they might have collaborated.  Now that he's wandless again (if it's after the first), he'd need a second hand for such endeavors.  But, I'll leave that up to you, Pam.  If you want to have Eudora go it on her own, that'd work - or Cin and Eudora could collaborate.

If Fauna is with him when it happens, it could help stregthen her and Devlin's relationship perhaps? Or help her see him in a different light?

or if he was with Knox and she came to console him after the attack...

just an idea

Ooo... Fauna and Dev and Knox? Could be fun!

I think Tabitha volunteered as well?

Timeline-wise, in October, the full moon is the 14th.

Oh that's right. How silly of me! This must occur on the full moon.  October 14th it is.   ;D

Like I said, I'd love to write with anyone at any stage!

1. Covadonga - I would love to have you in on as much as you like.

2. Any and all students could be involved.  I just had a strange idea that the attack could occur during the Hogsmeade weekend and as many students who wished to take Knox up on an invitation to buy a round at the Three Broomsticks could be involved.

3.  Fauna/Dev great fun to watch.  (Figaro has managed not to get wind of it, you lucky bastards.)

Cool! Yeah, the 14th is a Tuesday, but the Hogsmeade trip doesn't necessarily have to take place during a weekend. ::shrugs::

It would be really neat if Knox got together with a bunch of students at the Three Broomsticks :).

I would love to have Vane be a part of it. I wonder, would Vane already be fighting a werewolf and then Knox gets in the way? I think it would be neat to have Knox specifically targeted, and then it just so happens that Vane has been tracking the werewolf.

Of course, the werewolf (being keen to other predators) would know at some point that Vane has been tracking it.

It'd be a small thing, because the main focus would be that Knox has been bitten. My part would be that I show up, fight with the werewolf, fail to prevent the target from being bitten, and then Apperate away for some reason.
