Muggle Appreciation Club -Anyone interested?
« on: November 27, 2009, 01:37:12 AM »
Ok - so, with the assistance of Dreogan, Sasha's starting to get all into the muggle studies / line between magical and muggle world.  In addition, of the summer, he pondered using the muggle appreciation club as an avenue to explore muggle stuff - so muggleborns can do muggleborn stuff and non-muggleborns can experience it.  This could be an, obvious, source of tension either on an individual level for Sasha or a group level for anyone in the group, as well.

Anyone interested in doing something with this group?  Either as a participant or an enemy of the club?

Grace would definitely be involved.....Maeve can definitely be a hater....and if it needs an advisor or something, Myrni could surely be used in that capacity.

hm Maddie would be interested, being born from two muggleborns. Keegan might... He is a proud mudblood but I dunno if clubs are his 'thing'.

Trent would consider, but then notice who's in it... And leave.

But Bea would definitely stick to it. To experience the life of a muggleborn would be a dream come true compared to living with her mother.

Grace's family can adopt her. She's always wanted a sister.....hehe

All joking aside, it gave me a plot idea. Maybe Beatrix could spend a holiday or some time with Grace (or another Muggleborn she might be more friendly with). Kinda like living the life of a muggle for a week. ;)

Hahaha... why am I suddenly imagining a 'muggle exchange program'. Stay with muggles for the holidays! Learn how to use a fellytone! ;D

I'd offer up Fauna but she's involved in so much that she might not have time, realistically. However, maybe someone could drag Eirene into it? I'd be up for that!

Pax could potentially be interested. He's not a major muggle enthusiastic (at least not in a, say, Arthur Weasley sense) because he's pretty easy-going about integrated those two parts of his heritage, but he'd certainly appreciate getting to do muggle things in a magical environment. Plus he's all for helping to enlighten magical kids who look down on muggles or 'other' them; he thinks it's pretty unfair and that keeping people informed about things they don't know about is the way forward.

Hm, I wonder if Eirene would let Pax drag her into this? Pax likes her, but worries some of her pure-minded friends (Effie, most notably) are a bad influence. I wouldn't put it past him to at least try to talk her into giving it a try. (For LEARNING! You like learning, Eirene, right? ^_^)

Woo!  I'll get something started soon.  Didn't Bea and Sasha talk about some sort of exchange program way back one?  Or did I imagine that?  I remember discussing it with someone - but yeah, it'd be interesting.

I've been pondering having Sasha volunteer to be president of the club - unless someone else was interested.  Maybe if Pax tries to talk Eirene into it and mentions Sasha'll be there ... hehe

Haha, if he knows about her attachment to him, yeah, he'll probably use that in his favour. (For LEARNING! And SASHA! You like learning and Sasha, Eirene, right? ;))

Oh! That's an awesome idea!! We shall plot this!

Perhaps Bea and Grace will get acquainted during the club and hit it off?

Awesome!  Hopefully, in the next week, I'll get a thread started for that and will post the link here!  Be on the lookout!  Any ideas as to location for the club meetings?  Random classroom?

Woo!

For all those who are interested, the first meeting is started here.  Sasha would like me to point out that glomping him is not a requirement of being in the club.
