Werewolf Plot

Let the games begin!

Here is the place where the details of the Werewolf plot will be put.  However, the amount of information in this thread will be based on what YOU, the writers involved, want.  Point out the threads, the people involved, write up the summaries, etc.  Post it all here!  Staffers will periodically check on the progress of things and update as necessary.

This thread can be used not only to keep track of what has happened but also bits and pieces of what may happen.  Not what will happen.  Here you can gather and discuss the possibilities, ask if anyone is interested in starting a thread, and set the premise for what may happen in that thread.

       Newly appointed Department Head for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, she starts the movement for equality amongst all species.  Knowing this will take time, Covi decides to tackle the biggest first: werewolves.
       As of April-May 2008 the Werewolf Wing is being constructed within Level Four, which will house divisions including: Lycan Legislature, the Capture Committee, The Remus Lupin Resource Center and Research Society, Registration, Consultation Center, a Big Brother/Sister Mentor program for the newly turned and those who have committed crimes related to their disease, and an auditorium to host seminars and meetings.
       While this all happens she is scouring the field for prospective employees of the furrier nature to head these divisions of the Wing and advice from others who have been in the fight longer than she has.  In addition, she is recruiting her fellow Magizoologists to research lycanthropy more thoroughly, working with the Ministry's Department of Magical Law Enforcement to retrain her Capture Unit and International Cooperation to spread the word across the Magical World.

       The scorned son, attacked and tossed to the side by the ministry. Turned criminal to feed himself, slowly redeeming himself with the help of covi and the ministry of magic which caused the trouble in the first place.

       So the story begins...  While the Werewolf Wing has long been thought of and planned by the newly appointed Department Head, only recently has she brought to the table out in the open amongst her peers, but not to the public.  Only a few days ago was she given the go-ahead from the Minister--after a thorough discussion at her home after a night of clubbing--and thereafter a flood of articles she had sent to various newsletters, magazines, and other small papers (taking care to AVOID the Daily Prophet) were published.
       A young lycan happens upon one of these articles while sipping some expertly brewed tea at a local cafe in Diagon Alley.  By chance he finds the author sitting under one of the umbrellas a few tables over.  Unlike others of his kind he is courageous enough to confront the woman and see if there was any truth behind her words, wherein she lets slip the news of her promotion and the actions she is taking to rectify the situation which was not to be announced until the next month.
       Slowly but surely the young witch gains the werewolf's trust.  Simon finally agrees to meet her on Level Four after the Head of the Regulation for the Control of Magical Creatures offers a proper occupation in the very place he had been sacked years before.

       The werewolf's fate in the matter is set.  Oddly enough he is to be in charge of the Legistlature division of the whole kit and kaboodle.

I thought I'd add a new plot here! Basically, poor Ollie is going to get kicked out of school before it even starts, because Analiza thinks it's too dangerous for a werewolf to be at Hogwarts. Up to this point, Ollie's lycanthropy was kept a secret from the student body and the student's parents. Knox Greyfriar, Nicodemus Gunnar, and Theobald Mainwaring knew about Ollie's condition and helped her while she was at school. Normally, she would go home every month during the full moon. There was one time she had to stay at school, but Knox and Nico supported her and provided a safe place for her to stay.

Ollie is understandably very upset that she won't be able to go back to Hogwarts. She wants Fauna to tell people who she is and why she can't come back, because there's no sense in keeping it a secret anymore. Fauna's upset as well, so she seeks out help from Covadonga Gertrudis, who she interned for during the summer, and Knox Greyfriar, the former (more tolerant!) Headmaster.

With perfect timing, Astrid has started a student support group for werewolves. Fauna finds out about this on the train ride back to Hogwarts and immediately asks to join.

We are looking for... students to join Astrid's group. Students who oppose it. Adults to get involved. Daily Prophet reporters. Etc!

Josh can be counted on to join, Samuel too. ( Josh beign a friend of Ollie's and Samuel believing that since there hasn't even been a  near-miss, clearly Ollie isn't dangerous

Count Altair in. Being a magizoologist, and a person who houses werewolves when they need to change in a safe environment to protect themselves and others, he would love to be involved.

 Theobald would first try to get the Headmistress to change her mind. Assuming she does not he would support the group.

You know what...  I think PAWS should be changed to: Professors Against Werewolf Segregation.  That way it can be kept closer to the castle.

Nico's probably going to fight with Theo, he believes this all needs to be secret, like the DA.  I think the situation calls for it.

which DA? there were two very different DAs, Harry's DA, whihc was pretty close to a  DADA study group, and Neville & Ginny's DA, which was really a campaign of civil disobedience (think about it...)

We need some people on Ana's side. Parents worried about werewolves around their children, etc. There are going to be quite a few that feel that way, there always is. I can't fight the battle all by myself! T_T
